Tips for Cleaning Your Entire House with Wet Wipes

Cleaning your house is something you have to do daily. So it makes sense to want to do it as quickly, easily, and efficiently as possible. That’s why disposable wet wipes are so popular. You can clean your entire house with wet wipes. Disinfecting wipes can help get your bathroom and kitchen sparkling clean with minimal effort. They’re also great for your home office, your children’s play room, and your living room.

What are Disinfectant Cleaning Wipes?

Disinfecting wipes are pre-moistened wipes that contain a solution specially developed to clean, deodorize, sanitize, and disinfect. Some brands, like Nice 'N CLEAN® Disinfecting Wipes have regular and scrubbing applicators designed to help tackle a variety of cleaning challenges at home, at the office, and at school. They can be used wherever you need a convenient way to clean.

It’s important to read the directions on the packaging to know the proper contact time for sanitizing vs. disinfecting. Nice 'N CLEAN® Disinfecting Wipes have been shown to kill viruses and bacteria in 3 minutes (compared to 4 minutes for other leading brands). Our wipes are effective against 99.9% of bacteria and viruses.

LEARN THE DIFFERENCE: CLEANING VS. SANITIZING VS. DISINFECTING

Disinfecting the Bathroom

Rather than arming yourself with paper towels and a disinfecting spray, pull out some disinfecting wipes when it comes time to tackle your dirty bathroom. Disinfecting wipes are perfect for cleaning your toilet, bathtub, shower walls, faucet, sink, vanity counter, trash cans, and bathroom tiles. We even recommend using them on light switches, door handles, and towel racks.

Some brands offer textured wipes for a more effective cleaning. For example, Lemon Scented Nice 'N CLEAN® Disinfecting Wipes have a scrubbing side and a wiping side for cleaning and removing stains. This makes it easier to kill germs and wipe away grime, while leaving your bathroom smelling clean and refreshing.

Disinfecting the Kitchen

Disinfecting your kitchen is another daily chore that can be made easier with disinfectant cleaning wipes. Use disinfecting wipes to clean kitchen counters (especially after handling raw meat), your stove, backsplash tiles, faucet handles, and the sink. They’re also great for cleaning the handles of the refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and microwave. Your trash can also deserves a thorough cleaning inside and outside regularly.

Always be sure to thoroughly rinse with potable water after using disinfecting wipes on food-contact surfaces.

Disinfecting the Toy Room

Kids are one of the top offenders when it comes to spreading germs. Use disinfecting wipes for nonporous toys and surfaces, such as children’s furniture, storage areas, and toy chests. If your child has a tendency to put toys in their mouths, be sure to rinse the surface with potable water after using disinfecting wipes.

Disinfecting the Bedroom

Having a package of disinfecting wipes in your bedroom can come in handy for wiping down furniture, light switches, and drawer handles. If you have a TV in your bedroom, give the remote control a daily wipe down as well as light switches and door handles. Depending on the material of your headboard and bed frame, you can also wipe them down.

Disinfecting the Living Room

One of the germiest things in your house is the television remote control. It’s something we recommend disinfecting daily, especially if you like to snack and channel surf at the same time.

Other living room areas that you can use disinfecting wipes to clean are tables.

Disinfecting High-Touch Spots

As we mentioned above, high-touch spots like light switches, remote controls, appliance handles, and door handles should be wiped down daily. Since they’re always being touched, they can harbor bacteria and viruses. Other high-touch surfaces we recommend disinfecting include computer mouses, lamps, appliance knobs, the exterior of your coffee maker and other small appliances, and the buttons or keypads of your microwave, oven, and dishwasher.

As you can see, disinfecting wipes make cleaning your house a breeze. Keep in mind that disinfecting wipes are not flushable and should be thrown away immediately after use. They should never be reused.

In addition to disinfecting, disposable wet wipes can be used for other cleaning and hygiene needs. The Nice 'N CLEAN® brand offers baby wipes, antibacterial hand wipes, flushable wipes, and lens wipes to help make your life easier, cleaner, and healthier. You can also purchase Nice 'N CLEAN® Disinfecting Wipes in store at Costco.
